"A potential employer has to weed through hundreds of résumés a week! If read, your résumé only has 15 seconds or less to capture the reader’s attention. Will your résumé past the test?"

Welcome to the Sellers Business Service's Web Site.
First, as the CEO and President of Sellers Business Service,
Ltd., I want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to take a few minutes of your time.
At Sellers Business Service, Ltd., we take pride in putting a great amount of effort and detail in every résumé, OF-612, and SF-171 that
we write and prepare.
We find this easy to do because we put ourselves in your position when preparing your product. Applying
our motto:
"A Personal Touch Along with Fair Prices" is what
we truly believe in. Our intentions are to create a friendly, but professional approach, and to provide you with a quality and accurate product.
As résumé, OF-612, and SF-171 writers, we are concerned for some individuals in the job market. The reason for concern is these individuals do not know the value of an efficient résumé, OF-612, or SF-171, and they believe that "any old thing will do."
we are here to tell you that "any old thing will not do." In preparing these items, people must meet all or most of the criteria of the job announcement.
For example, if you are a secretary applying for a budget analyst position, your basic secretary résumé, OF-612, or SF-171 is not going to qualify you for that budget analyst position. You have to extract the budget functions (e.g., accounting, fiscal, etc.) from your secretarial duties and accomplishments and apply them to your budget résumé, OF-612, or SF-171, to meet the criteria of that job announcement.
After meeting with several Human Resource Managers and
Civilian Personnel Officers, we fully understand what employers look for in
résumés, OF-612s, and SF-171s. With that in mind, Sellers Business Service,
Ltd., is formulated to meet the needs of our clients, and the needs of employers
as well.
According to the Professional Association of Résumé Writers
(PARW), the three most critical items are: (1) packaging—"the first
impression," (2) organization—"manipulating the reader’s
attention to capture important information in the initial 15 seconds,"
and (3) substance—"making qualifications to meet an employer’s needs."
There is such a vast amount of information that an individual can include in a
résumé that it is often difficult to fit the pieces together into a cohesive
marketing document. What should you include? What should you omit? In what order
should you place the information?
A good rule that PARW recommends, and I teach my clients to
follow, is to include the information that is most related to their current
career path at the top and then work backwards, with the least important
information at the end. This is particularly relevant when determining whether
to include Employment or Education first—prioritize these items based on
impact to the reader. PARW also suggests that you only have 15 seconds or less
to capture a reader’s attention. Therefore, it is critical that the top third
of the résumé be hard-hitting and immediately present the skills,
qualifications, and experience most related to that employer’s needs and
expectations.
